A Funded Research Group won the Second Best Poster at 3rd IGMC

Dr. Nezar Alhebshi, Assistant Professor in Microbiology in Jazan University, has won 2nd place in the poster competition held as part of the Third International Conference on Genomic Medicine program  in Jeddah, Saudi Arabia.  The event, organized by King Abdulaziz University, attracted prominent international scientists who presented important work and findings in the field of genomic medicine.  Dr. Alhebshi presented his findings from a study of the Exome Signature of Shamma (dipping snuff) and its Association with Oral Squamous Cell Carinoma. The study confirmed gene mutations associated with oral cancer and identified novel genes associated with the disease.
